  • Motion reference: S6M-08348

That the Parliament congratulates the Black Watch Castle and Museum, in Perth, on securing the use of what it sees as a spectacular giant scrap metal sculpture commemorating the people who died in the First World War; notes that the sculpture, named The Hauntings, stands at an imposing 6.5 metres in height, and was commissioned for the First World War centenary in 2014 by Somerset couple, Jo Oliver and Paul Richards, to remember those who served in the Great War; further notes that the sculpture was made from over 1,000 pieces of scrap metal, including horseshoes, brake discs and car jacks; notes that The Hauntings will feature at the Black Watch Castle and Museum between 1 July and 12 November 2023, and wishes the Black Watch Castle and Museum every success with this venture and also for the future.
