  • Date lodged: Friday, 24 March 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-08329

That the Parliament congratulates the four Angus community groups that were recently awarded National Lottery funding; welcomes the £5,497 that will enable Monifieth Befriending Scheme to create a peer support group for men over 60, centred around indoor activities and meals, and the £7,952 to help Keptie Friends purchase new garden and power tools to enable a more eco-friendly upkeep of its pond area; further welcomes the £10,000 to fund a series of events by Angus Carers Centre, which will collect evidence on the needs of unpaid carers locally, and the £23,417 for Kirriemuir Food Hub’s operation of a local larder, utilising the cash first approach; considers that all these projects are of real benefit to communities across the county, and commends all involved.
