  • Submitted by: Edward Mountain, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 07 March 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-08123

That the Parliament commends the Strictly Inverness 2023 dancing partners, Andrea Manson and Gordon Simpson, for raising £2,000 for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre through their disco event at the Botanic House Bar in Inverness; understands that the event marks the beginning of a series of events ahead of the Strictly Inverness 2023 dance-off, to be held in May; notes that there were around 100 guests in attendance who contributed towards a raffle and auction, which helped raise the final donation of £2,000 for the two Inverness charities, and wishes the contestants of the Strictly Inverness dance-off the best of luck in their future competitions.
