That the Parliament congratulates Lesley Paterson, from Stirling, on winning seven awards at the 76th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) for All Quiet on the Western Front, which she co-wrote and produced; praises all involved in All Quiet on the Western Front, which was nominated for 14 BAFTAs, winning seven awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Not in the English Language, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Sound; notes that Lesley Paterson and co-writers, Ian Stokell and Edward Berger, won the Best Adapted Screenplay award for their German language film, which is based on the 1929 German novel, All Quiet On The Western Front, by Erich Maria Remarque, and understands that Lesley Paterson first came across the novel All Quiet On The Western Front whilst at school in Stirling, and later bought the rights to the book allowing her to work on a screenplay, which then took 16 years to be made into a feature film by Netflix.
