Celebrating 21 Years of Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire

That the Parliament congratulates Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire on its 21st anniversary; believes that it is one of the leading charities in family support in the community; acknowledges the impact it believes it makes within the local communities that it serves, including helping to improve educational attainment, aiding the building of healthy relationships, helping to reduce isolation and loneliness, improving mental health of adults and children and supporting maternal mental health and perinatal support; acknowledges its focus on empowerment and resilience to assist families to become self-reliant, confident and connected; praises the work of all staff and volunteers and the skills that they have brought and developed; acknowledges what it sees as the important funding mix that Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire has secured over the 21 years, which, it believes, has helped place it on a sustainable financial footing and, more importantly, allows it to maximise the vital support which is offered to children and families; thanks all those who continue to contribute to that success on an ongoing bases by fundraising, securing crucial grant awards and developing invaluable partnerships with various businesses; welcomes the launch of its new book, 21 stories, 21 lives, as part of the 21st anniversary celebrations, and wishes Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire every success in the years ahead.
