World Porridge Making Championships Return to Highland Village

That the Parliament recognises the 29th World Porridge Making Championships, set to be held in Carrbridge, which returns after being a virtual event for the past two years; understands that the Golden Spurtle trophy is awarded to the contestant deemed to have made the best traditional porridge using just three ingredients of oatmeal, water and salt; further understands that the event is organised by local volunteers supported by Carrbridge Ahead and the Community Council, whilst being supported by Hamlyns of Scotland, the producers of Hamlyns Scottish Oatmeal and Hamlyns Scottish Porridge Oats, and wishes all competitors and organisers the best for the event due to take place in October 2022.
