That the Parliament recognises with thanks the long service and retirement of Ian “Pud” Ramage from his role as manager of the Ladywood Centre in Penicuik; notes that Ian, widely known as Pud, had been Duty Officer at the Ladywood Centre for 20 years when he stepped into the managerial post 15 years ago at a time when the centre was under threat of closure and was later saved by a popular community campaign; understands that, during his tenure, Pud has undertaken a range of roles alongside managing the centre, including running children’s football classes, which has made him well known and well-loved to those growing up in Penicuik over the years; believes that Pud and those like him are often the heart of communities, going above and beyond to ensure services and facilities are available to all, and wishes Pud a long and happy retirement.
