To ask the Scottish Executive how many annual places are available in each apprenticeship scheme.
Answer
The Scottish Government has committed to offer 25,000 publicly supported modern apprenticeship (MA) places in 2011-12, and each year of this parliament. Apprentice numbers following each framework vary year - year, depending on employer demand.
