To ask the Scottish Government how it will take forward the policies and proposals in the finalised National Planning Framework 3 and Scottish Planning Policy.
Answer
The Scottish Government is committed to achieving a high performing planning system in Scotland. Today, I have published the finalised National Planning Framework 3 (NFP3) and the Scottish Planning Policy (SPP). For the first time, Scotland has an up to date, forward looking and coherent national planning policy framework to guide development and investment across the country. I expect all of those involved in the planning process to work together in the coming years, to focus on the shared outcomes of NPF3 and the SPP and enable high quality development on the ground.
