To ask the Scottish Executive how much money each police force has allocated for anti-terrorist measures in 2008-09 and how that compares to each of the preceding four financial years.
Answer
We are providing the police with record resources. It is an operational decision for Chief Constables to allocate those resources. In addition, the Scottish Government provides dedicated funding for counter terrorism to ensure that Scotland is at least as well protected as the rest of the United Kingdom.

To ask the Scottish Executive how much additional money it has allocated to the Scottish Police College in the current financial year.
Answer
The Scottish Police College is one of the police support services provided by the Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA). SPSA is funded through grant-In-aid from the Scottish Government. The breakdown of budgets between the individual services it provides is an operational matter for SPSA. The Scottish Government has not therefore allocated any additional money specifically to the Scottish Police College in the current financial year.

To ask the Scottish Executive what meetings it has had with UK Ministers and/or officials regarding Rockall since May 2007; on what dates, and whether it will list the attendees at each meeting.

The UK has had no such discussions with the Scottish Government. The issue of sovereignty of Rockall is a reserved matter.

To ask the Scottish Executive what meetings ministers have had with the Institute of Asian Professionals; when those meetings were, and who attended.
Answer
There have been two meetings to date between Scottish ministers and representatives of the Institute of Asian Professionals.
On 20 February 2008, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing met Mr Amjid Akram, Chief Executive of the Institute of Asian Professionals, together with Mr Kaiser Khan and Mr Urfan Moghul.
On 29 April 2008, the Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism met Mr Amjid Akram, Mr Kaiser Khan, Mr Urfan Moghul, Mr Saftar Sarwar and Mr Shafqat Ali.

To ask the Scottish Executive how many new schools ministers have opened or officially visited since May 2007.
Answer
Scottish ministers have opened eight new schools since May 2007. Ministers visit schools regularly in the course of normal business but records are not kept of the relative age of the buildings at schools visited.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it considers the National Conversation to be a poll of public opinion.
Answer
The National Conversation is not a poll; it is an opportunity for the people of Scotland to debate, reflect, and then decide on the type of government that will best equip Scotland for the future. The only true test of public opinion will be a referendum.

Expenditure on the National Conversation is in support of the delivery of our manifesto commitment, which is widely shared, to give the Scottish people the opportunity to debate, reflect and then decide Scotland''s constitutional future in a referendum.
