To ask the Scottish Executive how many wind turbine applications have been granted in each of the last five years and how many have been as a result of a successful planning appeal, broken down by local authority.

However, the member may wish to refer to Tables 10 and 11 of published planning performance statistics available at http:--www.scotland.gov.uk-Topics-Statistics-Browse-Planning-planapps2011annual which provides information for 2010-11 on electricity generation - which will include wind turbine applications decided – although not necessarily granted.

To ask the Scottish Executive what international organisations it would anticipate an independent Scotland joining.

An independent Scotland would be recognised as a state in its own right by the international community and would continue its membership of the European Union, and become a full member of the United Nations and other international bodies, such as the Commonwealth, the World Health Organization, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the World Trade Organization. Both in these arenas and generally, it would be able to develop its own foreign policy to promote Scotland’s interests internationally, and engage with other states as an equal partner.

The table below shows information on number of elective and emergency admissions, to hospitals in the NHS Grampian area, due to assault in 2008-09, 2009-10 and April to September 2010.

Note: 1. Assault admissions are included if any ICD-10 code in the range X85 – Y09 is recorded in any diagnosis position.

Due to the implementation of a new IT Patient Management System data submissions for NHS Grampian are estimated to be 65% complete for 2010-11. Data for April to September 2010 are estimated to be 99% complete.

NHS Grampian is focussing their effort to resolve submission issues in order to improve completeness levels. This is being monitored centrally.
