To ask the Scottish Government how many people have been injured as a result of (a) alcohol and (b) other substance abuse in the NHS Grampian area in each of the last four years.
Answer
Patients who have been injured as a result of alcohol or other substance abuse could be treated in a variety of settings such as the home, general practices, outpatients, accident and emergency departments and inpatient admission to hospital.
It is not possible from centrally held information to identify how many people suffered an injury as a result of alcohol or other substance abuse.
Tackling alcohol-related harm is one of the Scottish Government's key public health priorities.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will allocate new funding to social banking initiatives.
Answer
Sustainable, responsible banking: A strategy for Scotland, published in May 2013, recognises the social importance of sustainable banking and the benefits of promoting different banking models as part of a more diverse sector in Scotland. The strategy also commits the Scottish Government to examining options for community banking in Scotland, which could take a number of forms.
The Scottish Government will consider how best to support any viable social banking initiatives as these arise. For example, we have, in partnership with Big Scotland, supported some research into the potential demand for a Scottish Community Banking Trust, and have contributed £100,000 towards the establishment of the Grameen Bank in Scotland.
