Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Executive whether the Scottish Police College received additional support to administer training and assessment to an increased number of probationer police constables in (a) 2007-08 and (b) 2008-09 or will do so in future years, in light of its plans to recruit an additional 1,000 new police officers, as announced on 12 November 2007.
