To ask the Scottish Executive what total amount was spent in (a) Scotland and (b) each local authority area on local authority-run care homes in the last full year for which figures are available.
Answer
Figures detailing the amountspent on local authority-run care homes are not held centrally. The following tableshows the total expenditure by each local authority on care homes for allclient groups. This will include money paid to operators of private sector carehomes as well as money spent on care homes run by local authorities.

To ask the Scottish Executive what average gross weekly fee per care home resident has been charged by each local authority for care and accommodation services, other than for personal and nursing care, in (a) 2005-06 and (b) the current financial year.
Answer
I refer the member to the answerto question S2W-30520, on 19 January 2007, which shows the average gross weeklycharge for local authority run care homes and for privately operated care homesas at 30 September 2005. More recent data is not currently available. Theinformation requested can be found in the local authority column.
Thesefee levels are inclusive of money for personal and nursing care as dataexcluding these charges is not available.

The Scottish Freedom of InformationImplementation Group includes representation from the police forces. To ask the Scottish Executive in how many cases since 1 April 2006 the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland has awarded indemnity for loss under the terms of the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 1979; what the total value was of such indemnifications paid, and in how many cases a decision by the Keeper on a possible indemnity award is pending.

The Keeper of the Registersof Scotland has awarded indemnity in 56 cases since 1 April 2006. The value of theseindemnities is £204,209. A decision is pending in 13 cases.

To ask the Scottish Executive how many applications for rectification of the Land Register of Scotland have been received by the Keeper of the Register of Scotland since 1 April 2006 and, of these, how many (a) have been granted and (b) are still awaiting determination.
Answer
The Keeper of the Registersof Scotland has received 275 applications for rectification since 1 April 2006. Onehundred and ninety-three applications have been granted and 43 are stillawaiting determination.
