To ask the Scottish Government how much Scottish Enterprise awarded in grants to (a) micro- and (b) macro-businesses in 2013-14, and how many businesses received these.
Answer
Scottish Enterprise works to support economic development across Scotland. It offers a range of business support and services to businesses of all sizes. Support is not differentiated on size, but by the potential for realising business growth. Scottish Enterprise does not record data in relation to the size of a business. This approach reflects Scottish Enterprise's focus on growth opportunities wherever they arise rather than on particular segments of the business base.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it plans to issue guidance or other clarification regarding the impact of the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 on people with neurological conditions.
Answer
The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act – the legislative framework for health and social care integration – is the mechanism by which health and social care partners will jointly plan across the whole care path, health and social care, using the totality of resources. We are integrating care to not only improve the quality and consistency of care but to better support the increasing number of people with long term and often complex conditions to get the right care and support, whatever their needs, and at any point in their care journey.
The Scottish Government has published nine national health and wellbeing outcomes (http://www.gov.scot/Topics/Health/Policy/Adult-Health-SocialCare-Integration/Outcomes) that set out what health and social care integration aims to achieve and provides a framework for improving our health and social care services. Additionally, we have developed and issued the Clinical and Care Governance Framework (http://www.gov.scot/Resource/0046/00465077.pdf), which provides an overview of key elements and principles that should be reflected when integration is implemented to ensure people, especially those with long term or life threatening conditions, receive seamless, quality care that reflects their needs and aspirations.
