To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has received from patients’ groups on the standards of stoma care service.
Answer
Three patients'' representative groups (the Colostomy Association, IA and Urostomy Association) are members of the Stoma National Review Group and have attended all seven meetings of the group. I met with the patients'' groups on 20 August 2008 and they met with officials on 30 April 2009 to discuss the arrangements for the provision of stoma care appliances. Following this they wrote to officials to confirm their key issues.
