Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the commitments made during the debate in the Parliament on Institutional Child Abuse on 1 December 2004 and the letter of 21 December 2004 from the Minister for Education and Young People to the Convener of the Public Petitions Committee, when the short-life working group to scope the level of support services available to survivors of in care abuse was established; what the remit and membership of the group is, and when it began its work.
