Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

To ask the Scottish Government how many people with severe rheumatoid arthritis who would benefit from anti-tumour necrosis factor (anti-TNF) therapy do not receive it, and whether it will ensure that anti-TNF treatment will be made available on prescription to all patients where the clinical diagnosis supports such treatment.

To ask the Scottish Government which NHS boards have not yet made treatment approved by the Scottish Medicines Consortium or the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) for use in rheumatoid arthritis available to people with a clinical need and what assessment it has made of the potential impact of any NHS deficits on the uptake of treatment approved by NICE for use in rheumatoid arthritis.
