Race Relations Act 1976 (Statutory Duties) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2004<br />(SSI 2004/521)

The final item concerns subordinate legislation. The order came into force on 31 December and will remain in force unless it is annulled by the Parliament within 40 days of its being laid. The purpose of the instrument is to amend the Race Relations Act 1976 (Statutory Duties) (Scotland) Order 2002.

The amendment order applies the employment monitoring duties of the original order to the Gaelic bòrd and adds four bodies to schedule 1 to the order, requiring them to publish a race equality scheme. It also removes one organisation from the list of bodies that are excepted from the employment monitoring duties. No motion to annul the instrument has been lodged.
