Table 1 shows the Gross Ingredient Cost (£) of prescribing Methylphenidate Hydrochloride, which is the non-proprietry name for drugs including the branded products Ritalin, Equasym, Equasym XL, Concerta XL, Medikinet XL, Medikinet and Tranquilyn.

Methylphenidate Hydrochloride is licensed for use with children and young people under 18. However, the available data as shown in Table 1 may include some unlicensed prescribing for adults.

Full-year data is not available for the year 2011-12.
