1 Decision on taking business in private: 

The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 in private. 

2 Economic recovery:

The Committee took evidence from -

Carolyn Currie, Chief Executive, Women’s Enterprise Scotland;

Rose Marley, Chief Executive, Co-operatives UK;

Barry McCulloch, Head of Policy, Federation of Small Businesses Scotland;

Dave Moxham, Deputy General Secretary, Scottish Trades Union Congress;

Charandeep Singh BEM, Deputy Chief Executive, Scottish Chambers of Commterce.


3 UK Subordinate Legislation:

The Committee noted the Scottish Government's consent notification in respect of the following instrument —

The Public Procurement (Agreement on Government Procurement) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2021.


4 Economic recovery (in private)

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


5 Work programme (in private):

At its business planning day, the Committee considered its work programme. It agreed to seek written updates and progress reports from the Scottish Government on a number of issues; defer the planned evidence session with the Scottish National Investment Bank; invite the Road Haulage Association, the Scottish Retail Consortium Scotland and Forth Ports to an evidence session; consider a scoping paper prior to a first inquiry into supply chains and request further information from the Scottish Government on its response to the town centre review and publication of a retail strategy before considering the focus of inquiry work in those areas.
