Parliament in recess
The Scottish Parliament is in recess from 28 June to 31 August. But there are lots of ways to catch up on what's been happening at Holyrood:
Book tickets for Festival of Politics
The Festival of Politics returns this August with a three-day programme of more than 30 events.
The Festival will be held at the Scottish Parliament from 20 to 22 August.
Our programme features leading experts from the worlds of politics, the arts, business, the media and the third sector.
Crafternoons!
Looking for something fun to do with the family? Crafternoons offer a range of FREE activities for all ages!
Running from Monday to Saturday over summer recess, Crafternoons let kids get creative with seasonally themed crafting activities.
There's no need to book, just walk in and join the sessions!

Presiding Officers
Alison Johnstone MSP is the elected Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament.
Annabelle Ewing and Liam McArthur are Deputy Presiding Officers (DPOs).
Public petitions
Petitions are a way to ask the Parliament to do something.
Any person or organisation can submit a petition: you do not have to be a certain age or live in Scotland.
MSPs cannot submit a petition but they can support them.
