Retirement of Claire Connelly, Head Teacher of St Aidan's

That the Parliament congratulates Claire Connelly, head teacher of St Aidan’s High School in Wishaw, who retired from her role, following a distinguished career in education; believes that, during Claire’s 32 years in education, she has been an outstanding leader whose unique and insightful approach to young person’s learning has resonated over the seven years she has been head teacher of St Aidan’s; considers that what it sees as Claire’s ongoing commitment and dedication to promoting the positive impact of learning, has transformed the learning experience for young people; believes that at the heart of this transformation is Claire’s devotion to supporting young people to be confident and happy learners by providing a pupil-centred, safe and positive learning environment; thanks Claire for her service, and wishes her a healthy and happy retirement.
