That the Parliament applauds the nomination of Saughton Park and Spylaw Park in the Edinburgh Pentlands Constituency by Fields in Trust for the UK’s Favourite Parks award; notes that Fields in Trust is a charity working across the UK to champion and support parks and green spaces by protecting them for people to enjoy forever; believes that once lost, parks are invariably lost forever and, therefore, must be supported and protected; understands that voting is now open and will close at noon on 18 August 2022; considers that local parks have acted as a sanctuary for so many over the past few years and that they provide important benefits for local communities to get outdoors, move, relax, play, meet with loved ones, and more, and encourages all local residents to support the award in order to help preserve local parks.
