That the Parliament congratulates Beancross Primary School in Grangemouth on winning the 2019-20 national School Reading Journey Award ,which is part of the First Minister’s Reading Challenge; understands that the school took a creative approach with activities for everyone to get involved in, with its beautiful class libraries, pupil author project, Library Leaders Group and community partnerships, which have been described as "inspiring"; appreciates the work undertaken by the school's principal teacher, Lauren Miller, with the full support of the staff team, parents and children, and recognises that she has led this initiative with enthusiasm; believes that reading for leisure is important for people of all ages and is something that everyone should all aspire to make more time for; hopes that the First Minister’s Reading Challenge can continue to inspire pupils, their parents and guardians, and others to read more for leisure; commends Beancross Primary School for its efforts in winning this award, and looks forward to seeing it engage further through its reading activities in school and in the community.
