SRUC Crop Surveillance (ARE Operations): The SRUC Crop Monitoring Grant covers the provision of ongoing surveillance and monitoring of high-acreage arable crops in Scotland, through timely information and local commentary on crop establishment and growth stage; pest, weed, and disease pressures; and all in-season treatments to support on-farm decision making. Regular reports are published online to help farmers make decisions on farming practices, and particularly the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to support the sustainable and appropriate use of pesticides.
