Scottish SPCA and BrewDog to Build Sensory Garden for Dogs in Aberdeenshire

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 09 May 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-17233

That the Parliament thanks the Scottish SPCA and BrewDog for their collaboration to bring a sensory garden for dogs to Drumoak, Aberdeenshire; welcomes that the project seeks to encourage dogs to use their natural senses, as well as encouraging mental and physical stimulation, which often needs supported when rescued dogs enter the service; looks forward to the opening of the centre, which is scheduled for late June 2019; recognises that a similar garden in Glasgow has had a positive impact on the behaviour and wellbeing of dogs, helping them to move on and into their forever homes, and thanks the Scottish SPCA for its continued efforts to support and nurture dogs that have been neglected, abused or abandoned.
