That the Parliament congratulates the achievements of Alexandria Pritchard, from Jedburgh, and Rory Hamilton, from Berwickshire, who have both successfully been elected as members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP); acknowledges that the SYP is a democratically-elected voice of Scotland’s young people and provides a national platform for young people to discuss important issues and to act on them; believes that the Scottish Borders Council is committed to brightening the future of young people, and congratulates everyone who took part in this event and the candidates elected.
