Scottish Government Reports

The Convener (Joan McAlpine)

Good morning and welcome to the 16th and final meeting in 2016 of the Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Relations Committee. I remind members and members of the public to turn off mobile phones. Any members who are using electronic devices to access committee papers should ensure that their devices are switched to silent.

Agenda item 1 is consideration of a number of biannual reports produced by the Scottish Government in relation to European Union issues. I invite members’ views.

Lewis Macdonald (North East Scotland) (Lab)

The one issue that I would like to flag up, perhaps for pursuing with the cabinet secretary later, is European structural and investment funds. It is clear from the papers that the drawdown on this has been very limited thus far for the current spending programme. We should explore that later.

The Convener

We can explore it with the cabinet secretary.

As there are no other comments, we will have a brief suspension to allow our witnesses for the next item to come to the table.
