Deputy Convener
Under item 2, the committee’s task is to choose a deputy convener to replace Gail Ross, who previously held that post. The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish National Party are eligible to be nominated. I invite a member of that party to nominate one of their number for the post.
It is my very great pleasure to nominate my esteemed colleague—all my colleagues are esteemed—Maureen Watt for the post of deputy convener.
Maureen Watt was chosen as deputy convener.
