That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde Gin, created by The Start-Up Drinks Lab, which is based in Port Glasgow, on scooping two accolades for the locally-bottled beverage; notes that Inverclyde Gin received the gold award in the Premium Gin category at the Gin Masters 2021, and the bronze award in the International Wine & Spirits competition; understands that The Start-Up Drinks Lab is now producing its fourth batch of gin, thanks to the positive uptake from local businesses and bars which are stocking their product; believes that the awards are a reflection of the effort that goes into each bottle, which are hand-finished by staff, who tie the small rope around the bottle neck, and wishes the team all the best for the future.
