Big Energy Saving Winter Campaign

  • Submitted by: Jackie Baillie, Dumbarton, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 10 December 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02471

That the Parliament considers that the upcoming winter period will be a difficult time for many people, given the effect it is expected to have on the cost of energy bills; applauds Citizens Advice Scotland and, in particular, the West Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau, on the launch of the Big Energy Saving Winter campaign; notes that the campaign aims to provide support to people who are experiencing difficulty paying their energy bills; approves of the campaign's goals of helping people to save money by using less energy, and providing information on available grants; urges people to take advantage of assistance from their local Citizens Advice Bureau should they need any support, and expresses its appreciation for what it considers as the difficult, yet incredibly important, work being done by all those employed in the Bureau network.
