Boclair Academy’s Eco on the Go Wins National Award

That the Parliament congratulates Boclair Academy on winning the Scottish national finals of the Industrial Cadet Award as held by the Engineering Development Trust (EDT); applauds the team of five S2 pupils who developed the “Eco on the Go” concept, a mobile service to support zero food waste; delights at the partnership-working of schools, commercial enterprises and the EDT in inspiring young people to undertake research activities, online workshops and the development of STEM skills; is grateful that the practical application of these skills was so enthusiastically supported by staff at Boclair Academy, to enable pupils to develop plans for a sustainable business model that has tangible impact on the environment, and sends its best wishes to the members of this innovative team for their future learning and careers.
