That the Parliament congratulates Harriet Ross, of Newseat of Dumbreck near Ellon, on being named on the shortlist as a finalist for Young Farmer of the Year at the Farmers Weekly Awards 2021; understands that Harriet runs an arable and pig business on a tenant farm, and is in the process of taking on her parents’ farming business while working as a full-time consultant; notes that Harriet and her partner, Ben Lowe, were chosen to be part of the Resilient and Ready programme, run by the crop protection and seed giant, Corteva Agriscience, and sustainable farming organisation, Leaf, which aims to help farmers make their enterprises fitter for the future by introducing cutting-edge sustainable farming techniques to their farms; commends Harriet on her success, and wishes her well.
