  • Submitted by: Sue Webber, Lothian, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 09 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00320

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Callum Isted, a pupil at Dedridge Primary School in Livingston, has launched a campaign to look at reducing the use of single-use plastic water bottles in school packed lunches; understands that Callum is very passionate about the impact of single-use plastic on our oceans, and has made it his mission is to provide every pupil at his school with a reusable bottle; further understands that Callum will be walking 134 miles coast-to-coast, along the John Muir Way, from Helensburgh to Dunbar, over the summer holidays, as part of his fundraising efforts to purchase the reusable bottles, and thanks Callum for his great initiative and wishes him luck with his walk during the summer holidays.
