In Gratitude to the First Ever Queen's Scout

That the Parliament pays tribute to the late Edward O'Neil for his tremendous community-spirited contribution in Strathkelvin and Bearsden; commends his award as a Queen's Scout in 1952, soon after The Queen's coronation, and his further service in the movement; understands that Mr O'Neil volunteered throughout his adult life in positions of leadership including as Chair of the Bishopbriggs Community Council, Chair of the Fort Theatre, Captain of Kirkintilloch Golf Club and that he served as a Justice of the Peace, and sends heartfelt condolences to Mr O'Neil's family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
