That the Parliament congratulates Raydale Community Sports Hub in Gretna on receiving £100,000 from sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund; notes that this will be used towards a £518,808 project to deliver a 3G synthetic grass pitch at Raydale Stadium in Gretna, which will aim to provide more opportunities for the community to get involved in football and other sports at every level; understands that the pitch will be suitable for disability and walking football and that the Hub also aims to develop its women and girls’ teams; appreciates that the pitch will be a major community asset to Gretna, which is experiencing growth in its level of family housing, and wishes all at the Hub success with this project.
