Recognising Dumbarton Pensioner, Jim Coleman, for His Commitment to Supporting Others Through Volunteering

That the Parliament congratulates Jim Coleman, a true son of the Rock, on the fantastic amount of volunteer work that he has undertaken since his retirement in 2012; understands that he first became a volunteer for Glasgow City Mission, working in the night shelter and taking part in fundraising events such as the Big Sleep Out; recognises his commitment to supporting people with addiction to improve their lives by taking them to appointments, helping with paperwork and listening to them if they are struggling; understands that he recently travelled to Poland to assist Ukrainian refugees fleeing from the violence of war, and thanks Jim for his fantastic contribution to making the local community a better place to live.
