Fortrose Academy Wins Donald Dewar Memorial Debating Competition

That the Parliament congratulates Orla McMichael, Aimee Ross, Connor Atherton and Ruby McBride from Fortrose Academy on the Black Isle, who won the Donald Dewar Memorial Debating Competition on 9 June 2022; understands that they proposed the motion, “This House regrets the emergence of cancel culture”, with the debate taking place in the Scottish Parliament, and would like to commend the entire team on this significant achievement for themselves and their school.
