  • Date lodged: Friday, 20 May 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04495

That the Parliament congratulates Rookie Rockstars on securing £46,500 funding from the National Lottery, Medium Grants Scotland; understands that it will be targeted towards hiring a counsellor to oversee the young people’s service Rookie Minds and enabling the team to increase its provision of sessions, free at the point of need, which are understood to be currently oversubscribed; delights that the Antermony Development Trust SCIO will use £10,000 from Awards for All to install loch-side, accessible, eco-friendly toilets to encourage greater numbers of people to actively enjoy this beautiful area of natural beauty; understands that Awards for All is also supporting the activities of Campsie Angling Club with £3,809 to increase the reach of its activities to bring what it sees as the joy of fishing for friendship, fun, exercise, and enjoying the outdoors, to greater numbers of local people; wishes each of these organisations continued success and impact in their activities, and acknowledges the valuable asset that charities and community groups are to both constituents and visitors in Strathkelvin and Bearsden.
