Question
To ask the Scottish Government when during the first year of the next contract for Clyde and Hebrides ferry services it expects CalMac to introduce new smart ticketing products for (a) passengers and (b) commercial vehicles.
Answer
Discussions are already underway with CalMac Ferries Ltd to obtain a new system to deliver a Smart and Integrated Ticketing and Booking System for passengers and freight. We will continue to work with CalMac and other operators in the development and roll out of Smart products across Scotland.
