Point of Order
On a point of order, Presiding Officer. The Parliament will be aware of the unfolding tragedy in Istanbul today. I know that the matter was raised at First Minister's question time but, in view of the scale of the disaster and of the number of casualties—indeed, fatalities—would it be in order if we could, through you, Presiding Officer, send a message of condolence to the people of Istanbul and to the two organisations that have been so badly affected by this terrible act of terrorism. [Applause.]
I am sure that that would be the wish of the Parliament.
