Point of Order

Rosie Kane (Glasgow) (SSP):

On a point of order, Presiding Officer. This morning, Margaret Curran said in her speech that she would be in close discussions with the Home Office about how to improve the situation at Dungavel. However, in an answer to me this afternoon, she said:

"The Executive has no plans to make any representations on this issue as the operation and management of Dungavel, including the welfare of children, is the responsibility of the Home Office."

Is there a standing order that says that ministers should not consciously mislead the Parliament and, if so, has that rule been broken?

I hear what you are saying, but if you are making accusations that the ministerial code has somehow been breached, that is a matter for the minister and you should raise it with her.
