The Committee agreed Jamie Greene as Deputy Convener.


3 Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 5, 6 and 8 in private.


4 Administration of Scottish income tax 2022/23:

The Committee took evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Mark Taylor, Audit Director, Audit Scotland;

Gareth Davies, Comptroller and Auditor General and Rebecca Mavin, Senior Analyst, National Audit Office.


5 Administration of Scottish income tax 2022/23 (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda item 4 and took further evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Mark Taylor, Audit Director, Audit Scotland.


6 Administration of Scottish income tax 2022/23 (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda items 4 and 5 and agreed to invite the Scottish Government and HM Revenue and Customs to give oral evidence at a future meeting.


7 Adult mental health(In Private):

The Committee agreed a draft report on Adult mental health.


8 Work programme (In Private):

The Committee considered its work programme and agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Net Zero and Energy and the Auditor General for Scotland, in relation to New vessels for the Clyde and Hebrides: Arrangements to deliver vessels 801 and 802.

The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government and the Scottish Funding Council in relation to Scotland's colleges 2023. The Committee also noted correspondence from Colleges Scotland and Glasgow Clyde College and agreed to write to Glasgow Clyde College.

The Committee agreed to take oral evidence from the Auditor General for Scotland on the briefing, National Strategy for Economic Transformation, at a future meeting.
