That the Parliament recognises Pancreatic Cancer UK for its efforts in improving the future for those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; notes that around 850 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every year in Scotland; understands that Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to funding cutting-edge research, and supporting patients and their loved ones, and that its team of specialist nurses are needed now more than ever to give people practical information on what COVID-19 means for them and their treatment, provide emotional support, and help ease the burden on the NHS; further understands that Pancreatic Cancer UK launched its Future Leaders Academy in 2017, hosted at the world-leading Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Glasgow, with young researchers who are undertaking projects to better understand the biology of pancreatic cancer, how it grows, spreads and defends itself against existing treatments; recognises Pancreatic Cancer UK for successfully organising this year's Big Step Forward to raise funds for the charity’s fantastic work; congratulates Pancreatic Cancer UK and all those who helped raise a phenomenal £191,233, and thanks the charity, including its fantastic team in Scotland, for its continued work.
