That the Parliament congratulates Cairngorms National Park Authority on being awarded up to nearly £12.5 million over the next seven years by the UK National Lottery Heritage Fund; notes that this will be used toward a project that aims to deliver a landscape-scale community-led lifestyle and land management and visitor models to improve wellbeing, help nature and contribute to carbon net-zero; recognises that that the Cairngorms covers over 4,500 km² and is the largest national park in the UK; understands that the area is home to 25% of all of Scotland's threatened and rare species, including capercaillie, wildcats, osprey and golden eagles; notes that the project will involve over 45 committed partners, ranging from NHS Highland to deer management groups, that will work together to tackle the climate emergency and nature crisis and to help deliver an economy that works for all; understands that the project will include outdoor health programmes, see the development of a nature-based dementia centre and work to enhance nature through green finance, woodland expansion, peatland restoration, river catchment management, nature-friendly farming and sustainable transport, and welcomes reports that it will create 12 jobs in the area, with the possibility of further recruitment in its later phases.
