Martin Leahy Wins World's Best Young Beekeeper of the Year Award

That the Parliament congratulates Martin Leahy, from Kinellar Tarland in Aberdeenshire, on being crowned the World’s Best Young Beekeeper at the International Meeting of Young Beekeepers in Slovakia; acknowledges that Martin has shown a keen interest in beekeeping since being taught about it at Tarland Primary School and now as a student at Aboyne Academy; considers that be keeping is a significant part of the local community’s effort to be more environmentally conscious; recognises that Martin is a member of the Tarland Bee Group and the Scottish Beekeeping Association, and believes that the International Meeting of Young Beekeepers is the largest international event of its kind; commends Martin’s efforts and enthusiasm for the environment, community work and dedication to his interest in beekeeping, and wishes him continued success and enjoyment.
