The Cairngorm Club

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 05 March 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-16142

That the Parliament congratulates the Cairngorm Club on its £9,945 award from the National Lottery Community Fund to organise the restoration of a large section of pathway on one of Aberdeenshire’s most popular hillwalking destinations, Clachnaben, which is on the Glendye estate in Banchory; believes that this will have a positive impact on the area's many walking groups and the tourists who visit, and looks forward to what it hopes will be the increased usage of this pathway as a result of the restoration.
