Question

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide information on the destination, purpose and costs of all ministerial visits overseas from 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2008. 


Answer

The information requested is set out in the following table.

The cost given for each visit includes all flight, accommodation and other expenses.

Engagements marked * were at zero cost to the Scottish Government. Before any overseas engagement is approved, it must represent good value for the Scottish Government and the taxpayer.
