That the Parliament congratulates Bressay Development Ltd on securing £19,502 in funding from the SUEZ Communities Trust, through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund; understands that this funding will be used to develop the Bressay Community Woodland Project, a long-term biodiversity scheme, which aims to recreate Shetland’s scrub habitat by planting up to 3,000 trees, all historically native to Shetland, and recognises what it sees as the wider goals and importance of this project, to provide an outdoor space that creates new opportunities for education, art projects, play and volunteering for the island community.
